NOW CASTING

Actors working towards the same goal of connecting our community with the positive power of theatre in a safe and creative environment.

REHEARSALS: Begin May 2024 / The TADA Theatre is extremely organized, distributes a calendar at the first meeting that clarifies the rehearsals each actor is needed for each day and is focused on using time management very well.

CONFLICTS: Some conflicts can be worked around early in the process. TADA manages actors time

very well.

PRODUCTION: June 12-30 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights, Sunday matinees).

ROLES: 5 Female actresses / teens - 40's / all are showcased equally with solo and group numbers.

ADDITIONAL: Some compensation as well as paid parking for all rehearsals and performances.

ABOUT THE SHOW: SHOUT! flips through the years like a musical magazine and takes audiences on an entertaining journey back to the music, style and freedom of the 60s! This stellar production tracks some groovy gals as they spotlight the glorious days when England tunes topped the charts with the soulful pop anthems and ballads that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu. Using comical letters to an advice columnist, true confessions, quizzes and advertisements, SHOUT showcases terrific new arrangements of such chart-topping hits as “To Sir with Love," "Downtown,". “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Goldfinger". This fun-filled musical have audiences standing and shouting for more!

 

ROLES DESCRIPTIONS:

Blue Girl: A blue-blooded fashion model. Sophisticated, poised, and cool.

Yellow Girl: A loud, uninhibited American girl driven by her emotions. She is a ray of sunshine with a surprising vulnerability. Possesses a big, rock diva belt.

Orange Girl: The “mother” of the group. Domestic and maternal, she is wise, soulful, and mature. Slowly asserting her new-found independence.

Green Girl: A good-time girl. Blousy, middle-class, and zany. She is a bit frayed at the edges, and hopelessly single. A comedian of sorts.

Red Girl: She is an exciting blend of youthful contradictions. Quirky and enthusiastic. A hopeless romantic.
