NANETTE GINGERY – Naomi Simmons
Nanette has been performing in and around the community since she was a young teen. She is excited to return to TADA and work with this talented cast and crew. A few of her favorite past productions have included: The Sound of Music, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, Nunsense, and Thank You For Being a Friend The Golden Girls Musical. Nanette has enjoyed writing, recording, and performing her own music. She has written and produced Rehab: A Musical Journey which played to sold-out audiences at The Johnny Carson Theatre. Nanette draws inspiration from her work as a mental health therapist, life coach, and her personal life’s journey. She is most proud of her five children and three grandchildren.
CRIS ROOK – Natalie Simmons
Mrs. Rook has more than 250 productions to her credit, including a tour of Side by Side by Sondheim, the regional premieres of Forbidden Broadway, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Rona Lisa Peretti, and Gilligan’s Island the Musical as Lovey Howell. She also appeared as Lucy in the Midwest premiere of Jekyll & Hyde the musical and as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, featuring the Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra. Also a talented musical director for over thirty years, Cris received her masters degree in music performance from UNL where she performed in several operas and musical theatre productions and was a company member of The Nebraska Repertory Theatre. A proud wife to Bob and mother to Megan, Cris’ other favorite acting credits include Helen in Fun Home, Dulcinea in Man Of La Mancha, Joanne in Company, Dot in Sunday in the Park with George, and the Witch in Into the Woods.
SANDY VAN PELT – Nadine Simmons
Sandy was last seen on stage in a tour of the new American musical: We’ll Meet Again. A theatre veteran of Lincoln stages she has performed in countless shows including Vera Charles in MAME, Golda in Fiddler On The Roof, Abigail Adams in 1776 at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, as well as Madame De Le Grand Bouche in Beauty and the Beast, Guinevere in Camelot, Grizabella in CATS and Anna Leonowens in the King And I at Pinewood Bowl. A retired elementary school teacher with LPS, TADA audiences will recognize Sandy from her stellar performances in the last three summer concerts of TADASTOCK. She is grateful to her family, friends, and colleagues for their support and to The TADA Theatre for this wonderful performance opportunity.
HAROLD SCOTT – Gerald Mackowich
Mr. Scott is thrilled to be back on The TADA Theatre stage. Harold is a retired school administrator and fine arts teacher. His first show at TADA was in 2016 where he portrayed Uncle Fester in The Addams Family. Additional roles with TADA include Innkeeper/Governor in Man of LaMancha, the Monster in Young Frankenstein, Saunders in Lend Me A Tenor, Skipper in Gilligan's Island The Musical, Father Mark in Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding, Mr. Jefferson/Mr. Grey/Ensemble in RENT, Larry in Company, and most recently as Vice Principal Douglas Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. When not on stage, Harold enjoys spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren, and serving as an NSAA play and speech judge.
DONALD KOOR – Playwright
The Simmons Sisters Reunion is a script that was created over the past two years by Donald Koor. His other works under this pen name that have gone on to be produced by licensing agencies include Marley and Me: A One Man Christmas Carol, Almost Liza, Not A Down Home Branson Christmas, Nuke The End Of The World and A Musical For All Occasions But This One as well as A Cornhusker Christmas that was written and aired live on NET Media. Over the past 30 years he has also written several short films and segments for various sitcoms. He thanks those who helped with the music on The Simmons Sisters Reunion especially Laurence Juber.
